All members of our PPG are still the same as last year and are active members in the community and have exceptional qualities and experience to be the voice of the patients. Some members have experience of directly dealing with the community and providing services.
Over the years we have continuously made efforts to engage with patients through the PPG to hear feedback and concerns and to improve our service. We have received feedback from various sources and have acted on suggestions. Patients have various methods available to put forward their suggestions. We have a suggestion box, questionnaires, Nhs Choices and Dr Sidda's website can personally come in talk to us or talk to the PPG members during our quarterly meetings.
PPG has always been involved in agreeing with the priority areas and making an action plan. The action plan has then been put into place following approval and the results have been great. We have open surgery on 2 mornings of the week which has made more appointments available on other days, the telephone lines have made it easier for patient to get through to the surgery. Prescriptions still remain at 48 hours notice for repeats.
Overall we have had a great response and improvement to the service we are providing our patients and will continue to do so.

Our patients are from a widespread ethnic community; which are Indian mainly Gujrati speaking, Pakistani patients which are Urdu speaking and other ethnic minorities which are well conversed with the English language. Meetings held will be conducted by members of the same ethnic origin and language spoken. This will help patients to understand the problems they could face by non- compliance and the reasons why we need to address the problems
We have a notice board which is regularly updated with events and changes.
We are also communicating through our Patient Forum members who have a strong influence in the Community.
